Peta "Adopt, Don't Buy"
"Buying Animals Is Killing Animals. Save a Homeless Dog or Cat—Always Adopt and Never Buy."

Booboo stared in an ad for PETA with his rescued dog, Pookie.
"If you guys are interested in getting any kind of animal, definitely go and adopt," Booboo shares in an exclusive interview from his PETA photo shoot. Adopting a dog or a cat from a shelter gives animals a second chance at life. Every year in the U.S., more than 7 million lost, abandoned, or unwanted dogs and cats enter animal shelters and more than half of them must be euthanized because there are not enough homes for them. Every dog or cat purchased from a pet store or a breeder takes away a home from an adoptable animal—meaning that one more animal in a shelter will die.
Booboo Stewart showed up at the Breaking Dawn tent city event wearing PETA's "My Dog Is a Rescue" T-shirt.

Perth Telethon Australia
Booboo Stewart shows off his abs as he sheds his shirt during the 2010 Perth Telethon in Australia last weekend. The 16-year-old actor "stripped" in front of a live audience to raise money for children’s hospitals and children in need around the area.
The telethon raised over $9 million. Such a great cause!

In 2011 Booboo returned to raise money and tried his hand at a special Minute To Win It Challenge called "The Elephant March" which added $50,000 to the total.

However speaking with them and having the pleasure of seeing their animated smiling faces you quickly realize that they both have energy to burn! Part of that amazing energy will be directed towards helping their generation get excited about the environment and all sorts of possibilities to be green."

MDA "Muscular Dystrophy Association"

Booboo accepted a new role as a Muscular Dystrophy Association Celebrity Ambassador.
MDA is the world's largest nongovernmental sponsor of research seeking the causes of, and effective treatments for, neuromuscular diseases.
Almost every treatment currently in development for neuromuscular diseases is based on research funded by the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Booboo agreed to use his talents to spread awareness of MDA’s unparalleled research and service programs. Stewart, who is also a member of the MDA Muscle Team, appeared in a print PSA campaign for newspapers, magazines and websites.

“My family places a real priority on helping others,” said Stewart. “My father, Nils, and I recently had an opportunity to meet some of the outstanding young people served by MDA. I’m so glad we had that opportunity. Not only did we have fun together, but I learned how much the Association means to them and their families, which motivated me to help even more."

Booboo Stewart introduced his milkshake and met fans at Millions of Milkshakes at Westfield Culver City Mall in August 2010. Twenty percent of all the proceeds from Booboo's shake sold went to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. "I'm excited to be making my own milkshake and helping to raise money for the MDA," said Booboo. "I hope everyone comes out for a milkshake and to support such an amazing cause!"
