Interview with Booboo about Disney XD's Kickin' It
The actors on the Disney XD's Kickin' It
comedy play martial arts students, but the Bobby Wasabi Academy is
welcoming a real-life expert into the dojo. Teen martial artist Booboo Stewart is most recognizable as Seth Clearwater in the Twilight
movie franchise, but with a martial arts Hall of Fame pass under his
black belt, Stewart is kickin' on over to Monday's episode (airing at
9/8c) where he stars as Carson, one of Rudy's former superstar students.
The episode, "New Jack City," follows Stewart's character, as he moves
back to Seaford and sparks a rivalry with Jack (Leo Howard), who joins the opposing team when Carson steals his spot in the tournament. TV Guide Magazine got in touch with Stewart to get the scoop on his guest-starring role.
TV Guide Magazine: Tell us about your character in this episode.
Booboo Stewart: My character's name is Carson. He returns back to the dojo, and he was the cool guy back in the day. Now that he's returning, Jack kind of feels intimidated by him.
TV Guide Magazine: So does he stir things up with the gang? Stewart: He does. Definitely. You can look out for some fight scenes. It's crazy because I end up fighting Jack, and that was really awesome because I've known Leo Howard for a while. We've both done martial arts with each other before so to be able to do a fight scene together — it's kind of cool.
TV Guide Magazine: Those fights must have been fun since you have such a strong background in martial arts. How did you get involved?
Stewart: My dad was involved in martial arts and we started young, I started when I was 3 years old, and I just love it. But I like acting more! They play off each other. Having a background in martial arts definitely helps my discipline when I'm on set because you need a lot of discipline when you're on set — especially at my age.
TV Guide Magazine: Did you have any additional martial arts training on this particular set?
Stewart: No. It was a lot of mental training though because we had to learn the fight scenes really fast. It was really fun, and no one got seriously injured!
TV Guide Magazine: Hopefully there was no fighting behind the scenes. How was your experience on set?Stewart: The cast on set is awesome. I actually had game nights at my house so they all came over for a little reunion. We had a lot of fun filming and it should be really fun.
TV Guide Magazine: Besides Leo Howard, who else do you have scenes with?
Stewart: I interact with everybody, but I have a lot of scenes with Olivia Holt (Kim). I always see her at different places and get to talk to her once in a while, and she's just really nice and cool.
TV Guide Magazine: You've been involved with Disney for some other events — you toured with Miley Cyrus for the Camp Rock Freestyle Jam concert series. Do you see yourself playing more Disney roles in the future?
Stewart: I think the fun thing is just doing whatever you want, and that's what I want to do. I can't wait for everyone to see Kickin' It!

Booboo in Daily News Article
Daily News got the chance to meet Booboo in Burbank on Saturday November 3, 2012
where he was attending The Final Official Twilight Convention.
Booboo Stewart, who has been to well over 20 fan conventions for Twilight representing his character Seth Clearwater, told the Daily News he never gets tired of meeting his fans.
"You never know who will show up to these and it makes it interesting," said Stewart, who added that the highlight of his Saturday convention experience was a fan bringing him his favorite treat: Reese's Pieces.
Stewart is slated to make another appearance at the convention on Sunday along with fellow Twilight stars Gil Birmingham, Alex Meraz, Casey LaBow and Bronson Pelletier.
"Being a part of this has been a life-changing experience," Stewart said, who believes that Twilight will have staying power of the Harry Potter, Star Wars and Star Trek series. "I'm glad it's coming to an end, but I'm sad, too. Everything ends someday, but I'd rather end on a high note and that's what we're doing. So this feels great."

Nonstophonolulu Interview
I had a chance to briefly chat with actor Booboo Stewart — best known
for his role as werewolf Seth Clearwater in the “The Twilight Saga:
Eclipse” — while he was in town to promote his latest project, “White
Frog,” which premiered last week at the Hawaii International Film
Festival. The 18-year-old, who is no stranger to Hawaii, hosted six
episodes of the kids’ series, “Blue Dolphin Kids” here in 2006.
Tell me about your nickname. How did you get the nickname, “Booboo?”
I got my nickname from my family, but mostly my parents. They started calling me Booboo as a kid and it kind of just stuck with me as I got
older.
Why are you throwing your support behind Euro Cinema this year?
One of the producers for the film, “White Frog,” that I’m in (Chris Lee), is on the Board of Directors for Euro Cinema. It’s a cool thing to
bring international films to eyes that normally wouldn’t see films such as these.
At such a young age, you’ve done quite a bit of charity and philanthropic work. Tell me about some of the organizations you’re involved with.
I’ve worked with PETA before. My sister is a huge PETA activist. For me, I just love animals. I’m a vegetarian for lent every year. Other then that, I’m not (laughs). I also like working with the Los Angeles Mission. My family, friends, and I go and feed the homeless every Christmas, Thanksgiving and Easter.
What are some upcoming projects that you’re working on?
“White Frog” will be released in the first quarter of 2013. We premiered it last night at the Hawaii International Film Festival. I just finished a film called “Space Warriors.” We were shooting in Alabama with Director Sean McNamara who directed “Soul Surfer.”
Your hair is growing out quite a bit. What’s your personal style like, as far as how you dress and express yourself?
My personal style is pretty plain actually. I’m a pretty plain person (laughs). I actually just found this really cool clothing company; they’re called Alex Maine. They make comfortable clothes that look cool. All of their pants are made out of bamboo, and I’m pretty sure the shirts are too. It’s pretty much the only clothes I’ve been wearing here in Hawaii.
What’s been your favorite part about Hawaii so far?
My favorite part about Hawaii has been swinging on the banyan trees in Waikiki by the beach. I guess that doesn’t explain much, since
everything is by the beach here.

The Real Edward Cullen interviews Booboo at the Twilight Getaway in Gatlinberg, Tennessee on June 1-3, 2012.
Here's a little Script& some related pictures:
Who is your favorite wrestler?
I do like Jeff Hardy a lot.[...]I remember one time I was at the airport and there's whole of the wrestlers like, getting on a plane. It wasn't the same plane as mine. I walked by and I was like - Oh My Gosh! [...]
Do you prefer WWE, TNA or Independant?
Uhm, I like it all actually. I think TNA is really awesome because they go crazier - they'll do crazier things. WWE is awesome too. [...] And indepentant ones are awesome. Actually my sister, she sings in a group I play guitar for it and we werre doing concerts and one of the promotors, he does independant wrestling shows at the venue we were playing at. So you know I just think - It's all cool.
How was your Baluga Whale Swim at Sea World?
Ohh, that was awesome. That was really cool! So, I was - what was I doing that day? I was doing press and they were like "Do you wanna go by Sea World". [...] I got to - I had to put a wet suit on and - I didn't really get to like really swim with the whales. I would have been to scared to do that anyway but I got to sit on the site and like kind of in the water and I got to pat the whale and we did tricks [...] I didn't wanna do it because I was so afraid but they were like " Oh just do it, just do it" [...] I'm so happy I did it. [...]What are your plans now that you've finished high school?
Uhmm, my plans now that I'm done with high school. Uhm, yea just doing what I've been doing.[...]
